The stories are Nora Roberts so of course they're good. This review is more about the audio book side. There are 6 CDs to each book, each of which has its own sleeve in the case. The case is a nice, sturdy one.
I love at the end of each CD the reader says "End of disc 2" and at the beginning says "Start of disc 3". They also replay the last 30 seconds or so of the previous disc's reading at the start of the next disc. Little things that make it easier to get through a long book while listening in the car.

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to these stories while driving to and from work. The narrator was wonderful and made the stories come alive. I couldn't wait to get in my car and drive so I could continue to find out what happened next. All the stories and the narrator were amazing and kept you wanting more.
This is one of the worst books I've ever listened to on audio. The storyline is utterly ridiculous, writing is elementary with no character development and the melodrama is so over-the-top. To top it off, the narrator's voice sounds very robotic and her "acting" voice makes the characters even more irritating. I didn't feel anything for a single character in this book. By the 100th "so mote it be" I was done. An unbelievably silly book even for fiction of this genre.
One of my favorite Nora Roberts trilogies. It's for those of us who know there's a bit of magic in everyone and everything. A three century legacy culminates with six people who are tied by blood and friendship vanquishing evil to save their island from destruction. I like the characters, the story, the paranormal aspect, and the whole package. It's light reading. It's not perfect for everyone. For me, it's just what I need at times. I've read this series several times and am glad to have it in print, audio, and electronic versions. Again, not perfect for everyone and several may find flaws in the story. However, every time I read this trilogy, I end up believing anything is possible.
I'm just now getting into audiobooks, and I guess I was spoiled by my first set a BBC Production for the radio of "The Lord Of The Rings!" Each character had a separate person, and there were sound effects and music! My, but it was glorious to listen to!!

I know that all books can't be done that way, but I really don't understand why they don't have at least 2 readers one for the female voices and one for the male. It's quite disconcerting to imagine men when all of their voices are alto, rather than tenor or bass. It really took away from my enjoying the story.
I really like the way this author blends a little witch craft, a little romance and a little what if! I like the trilogy groupings and how they can be read alone but are so much more when read as a group!
Really enjoyed this series and the stories of the different women. How they each were so different yet so entwined at the same time. And of course a pinch of magic helped! Loved hearing how it ultimately unfolded. I bought the CD's so I could listen to them on a long trip. The only thing I would change is voices on the CD's. They need to have different people reading the different parts for it to make the whole thing flow better.
Nora Roberts doesn't disappoint. Though her characters start out down on their luck, bruised, struggling, they NEVER stay that way.... I first read book one while I was at work. I worked in a jail and this was in the jailhouse library. I read through it in one twelve hour shift. I needed more so I came home and ordered the box set. I had to have it in my collection. The second and third of this series did not disappoint either.
