Sarah Noffke has done it again! I was totally immersed in this book, and then literally “stunned” by the ending. Sarah knows how to write a creative, suspenseful tale, and Stunned picked up where Awoken left off, and became bigger and better. Roya went through a lot more emotional turmoil and development in this story. It was hard in the first half of the book because she became so angry and belligerent towards a lot of people in her life – Joseph, George, Aiden… It was understandable considering the ordeal she had just went through with Zhuang, and the activities her friends were participating in now. Then her resolve and strength is tested yet again, as another type of danger comes to the Lucidites’ doorstep. The action and adrenaline takes Roya’s mind off her problems for just a bit before she’s forced to face with them again… and a new “player” is thrown into the mix of Roya’s heart. Again – the cliffhanger! It was crazy and shocking and amazing! I love everything about “The Lucidites” – action, adventure, relationships, suspense… A must read series!

A mixed bag sequel.

Stunned is the second book in the Lucidites trilogy. There are good elements in this book but unfortunately there was more emphasis on romantic drama and less of action and excitement. The main character has not matured like I was hoping she would. There is a good dose of romantic indecision and drama going on with her at all times. After a while this takes its toll and can make the read exhausting. On a more positive note, the author continues to make the characters life like and mostly compelling. The middle of the book does have an interesting rescue scene with cool villains. I would have liked to have been able to learn more about the Voyagers. In some ways they are more fun than the Lucidites characters. Unfortunately the rescue mission is resolved a little too quickly and easily. Then the end of the book contains more romantic angst. Even with all of these issues I still found it an enjoyable read and I do care about most of the characters. I guess the main character is hard to take after a while and more action and less romance would make this a more compelling read. I will read the third book and I hope I will be rewarded with more action and excitement.
I just love Sarah Noffke’s writing style and the way everything flows, never choppy or hard to understand. I can’t wait to read more from Sarah!

Stunned is the second book in the Lucidites series and I loved it just as much as the first! I felt Roya’s pain and struggle of basically suffocating being underground at the Institute and just wanting to go away and not think about the Lucidites and the battle she just completed with Zhuang. You’d think the girl would deserve some time off!

Just when she is about to leave and spend the days with her pseudo parents, like the day of (!), Trey halts all travel as the Lucidites are faced with a new challenge, the Voyagers. They have abducted one of the head officials and Roya and her team are in charge of his rescue. Roya must put her personal issues aside and dive in to save the scientist in the Voyagers turf and save the day once again.

Prepare for some twists and turns and you won’t be disappointed in Stunned! Can’t wait for Revived!
Wow wow wow! Once I started I couldn't stop. Roya is back. I did have a like/ dislike on some of her actions. I just wanted her to make a choice but then I realized she is a teenager. Most don't know what they want. At least I didn't at that age. And I do love a girl that can kick some butt. The Grotte was my very favorite part of this book. The way Sarah describes things makes me feel like I'm seeing it before my eyes. Like I can do it myself. I loved the action! Oh and the hospital scene, hilarious and awkward. Love it! I can't wait to read the third book and see how everything is going to come together.

I love everyone is this series even the bad people. I will join the dark side. Lol.
This book not only lives up to it's prequel but surpasses it. I was impressed with Awoken but blown away by Stunned.

It brought out so many emotions for me that I'm feeling emotionally exhausted by the end. I love all the characters but Roya is still my favorite. She seems to be just as snarky as the first book and even ups the snark to the next level. I love how she has evolved and has become in better control and realization of her feelings. She has become one of my favorite heroines of all time. She is just so flawed and real. It makes her easy to connect with and is the perfect point of view of this story.

Let's talk about the boys. I'm team Aiden. I've been team Aiden since the beginning. There is just something about a smart hunk that I just swoon over. With that being said he is far from perfect in my eyes. He has these moments of romance and then a minute later I want to punch him in the face for his ignorance and cockiness. I know he isn't perfect but I love him all the same. Now George is a different character for me. I just can't seem to put my finger on him. I feel like he may become the type of stalker that would lock you in cellar to make you his own. He probably isn't this way but that is vibe I'm getting from him. No matter what team you are on this boys are far from perfect but they are the type of characters you can relate to.

I listened to the audio which was amazing. I'm a big fan of the narrator. This is actually the fifth book I've listened to from her and her voice has captivated me. I just love to listen to her so I'm a fan of nearly anything she wants to narrate.

The story line flowed nicely and left me with my mouth wide open at the end. I look forward to reading the conclusion of this series but I will also be sad to say goodbye
