“Fixed Forever” takes place a few years after the wedding of Alayna and Hudson and they now have three beautiful children: a four year old girl and one year old twins. Alayna experienced a period of depression following the birth of the twins, but was able to work through it with the help of Hudson and her therapist She is not happy that Chandler is marrying Celia’s step-daughter and that has caused her anxiety to reappear and be fearful of Celia and her manipulation tactics. She hates feeling as if she can’t trust Hudson because in her heart she knows he loves her, but it is hard to keep her crazy thoughts from bubbling to the surface.

Hudson once again chooses to shield Alayna from the danger that is upon them when he does not tell her about the cryptic letters he has been receiving. He would never do anything to push her over the edge even though he hates lying to her. For her safety and his children’s safety, he has increased his security team and added more bodyguards. His family is his life and he will do everything in his power to protect them. He doesn’t know who is sending the letters but he thinks it may concern a part of his life that he is trying to forget.

Will the darkness of Hudson’s past be the reason that his family is in danger?

Alayna and Hudson are one of my favorite couples and I have followed their journey throughout the Fixed Universe series, and I am sorry to see the series come to an end. I was so enamored with this latest installment that I had to read the book again, and it was even better the second time. I especially liked how Laurelin wove romance with mystery to give us a story that we will cherish forever.

I was abit afraid to start this book. Afraid that the Perfect unperfect couple of one of my all time favorit series, could survive. That the love could concore it all. But then I remembered who the auther of this amazing series is. The amazing auther who made the most amazing bookboyfriend there is. The one and only Laurelin Paige. Thank you Laurelin for making Hudson so Perfect. For all his flaws. Cause he is not perfect. He is to bossy. To protective. He still manipulates. He still does all of this. In the name of LOVE. He does everything in his power to protect his familey, for the people he loves. And that makes him perfect.

And more. such a thrill and joy to get back to an old couple. Like meeting old friends again after beeing apart for Some time. No wonder you are my favorit auther.
So my fear came from. What if the auther changed to much about the characters, what if she wasnt true to her own story? but have no fear. this is Laurelin she is a master at what she does. I bow at her feat.
I do love Laurelin Paige...from the first time I read Fixed on You years ago. I have my favorite books and favorite characters for sure...but I have to say that this may be one of my favorites to date. Not only do we take a peek ahead into the lives of some of our favorite and perhaps most despised characters from the original trilogy and subsequent books, but we have ourselves a truly suspenseful, who is it story that really delves deeply into Hudson's past and the games he and Celia played and the impact they may have had on other's lives and his own. Hudson will do what he needs to do to protect his family but at what cost? And who hates him enough to threaten all he holds dear? It's a riddle with many answers but the final answer may surprise you. We get to see the person Hudson was and we get to see exactly who he has become with the help of true love and patience. I never really disliked Hudson through out the original trilogy and came to like him better in the book "Hudson" but this one has me truly loving him more than I thought possible or expected.

Okay. Now, here's the thing. You HAVE to have read the other books in the series prior to this book. That's key. But its a series...so you should already expect that. And I absolutely LOVE that I get to visit my favorite couple a few years down the line. We all wonder what happens after that last "The End" of the last book. And now we have it!
These two characters are beautifully broken and wonderfully flawed. They have complete, absolute bone deep love and devotion to one another. They have always been one of my favorite book couples of all time. I've read this series more than a few times and even have the audiobooks. (I cant help it! Hudson and Alayna make me swoon!) So when I found out they were getting another book - Yeah. I admit it. I may have screamed a little inside.
Laurelin Paige did not disappoint. She never does. But with Hudson and Alayna. My goodness. I devoured this book. I've read it twice already! Seriously, the way these two have taken over my heart - I was glued to each and every page. I couldnt put it down, I had to know what was going to happen. I felt like I couldnt read fast enough because I needed to know!
The suspense, the angst, the emotions, the feels. You get them ALL. They've both grown as individuals and as a couple. Of course the past comes back to haunt them. Insecurities and secret dangers - the intrigue keeps you on your toes. Alayna is still the strong, beautiful, smart woman she always has been. And Hudson? Hello Alpha-Daddy. They have always captivated me and sucked me in.
They're both so deeply devoted to one another. They protect one another with fierce determination. There are parts where you want to scream at them of course. Where you're ugly crying. Then there are the moments that have you smiling and laughing. Seeing these two as parents - Ugh. It was such a beautiful thing to see. And lets not forget how hot and sexy these two are..Your em-reader might melt. Just a warning because...Well.. Yum!
Seriously, this is series has always been a favorite of mine. Im beyond thrilled that we got more of them, and in a way that has given us relationship goals. We should all aspire to love like these two do. I could not recommend this series..this BOOK more. If you haven't read any other Laurelin Paige book..Do yourselves a favor and get the Fixed Series. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Im in serious book-hangover mood. And now I wait..for the audiobook next. So I can obsess more.
